Returning from Peace Corps Madagascar, moving to a new city, and starting a new job – while each daunting on their own – seemed manageable with enough preparation. But like the rest of the world, I did not expect the unprecedented times that the coronavirus unleashed. 2020 tested our ability to endure and adapt – both as individuals and as communities, but for me and perhaps for others, 2020 exercised what I understand to be the key to endurance – approach with intention.
