We’ve verified the list, which is remarkably long for a year of badly disrupted film releases. While 27 isn’t quite a record — last year saw 32 features qualify — we should note that the list isn’t necessarily final: these are the films that have been added to Academy members’ screening room to date, and more could theoretically follow. There isn’t much time for that, though, as preliminary voting ends on February 5.
