Dealerships can breathe a collective sigh of relief. Automakers, dealerships, and consumers continue to suffer due to the ongoing global semiconductor chip shortage, a crisis that's not expected to be resolved until sometime next year. Until then, dealers and customers will have to make do with what little new vehicle inventory remains. More than one Ford dealership, for example, has gone on record claiming they expect to run out of new vehicle inventory next month if things continue. Fortunately, Ford's dealers will soon have something to celebrate. The Detroit Free Press has confirmed the Blue Oval has managed to get a hold of a new semiconductor chip supply which will be used for its best-selling F-150 pickup truck.
