A man has died after his car struck a tree in Flinders this afternoon. It is believed the vehicle was travelling on Mornington-Flinders Road when it left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire just before 4pm. The male driver and only occupant, who is yet to be formally identified, has died at the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and ask anyone who witnessed the incident or with dash cam footage to come forward.
