The Ohio River is inching closer to moderate flood stage after heavy rains earlier this week. A flood warning is currently in effect for the Ohio River at Cincinnati until late Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters say the river will rise to a crest of 56 feet, the highest water levels have been in Cincinnati since February 2019 and just crosses the threshold into moderate flooding. "The river is expected to rise to a crest of 56.0 feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening," forecasters said. As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, the river was at 55.6 feet.
