Hou Zichao and Yuan Keru participated in the group exhibition "Fractured Generation: Electronic Color, Networking, Fashion Consumption, Science Fiction Prose and Global Identity of the Post-90s ".  The emergence of the "broken generation" marks a major turning point in Chinese contemporary art. This turn was more radical than previous art movements, and as a result caused widespread confusion.
