Angry parents feel let down after schools in their area remain open
Both on Burlington Road in New Malden, Burlington Junior School is in the Kingston borough, while Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is in the Merton borough - just 650 metres away.
All Kingston schools can reopen as planned, but Merton schools have to remain closed - leaving parents near the border baffled.
Mum Bilal Ahmed, from Kingston, told the Sun Online: "It's scary and unsafe for everyone in the school community."
The confused mum now has to send two of her children to Burlington Junior School when term starts, while the other stays at home for online learning as his school over the boundary is shut.
