Moberly Monitor-Index Thanks to the Missouri State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Little Dixie Regional Libraries in Moberly and Paris are the owners of two brand new microfilm machines. Microfilm allows users to view old newspapers, phone books, city directories, maps, and magazines on a small roll of film. LDRL Director Rachel Grime on Wednesday said the library has microfilm copies of most all newspapers that have been published in both Randolph and Monroe counties dating back to the 1800s for patrons to read or research story items of interest. Not all newspapers and other historical documents are digitized making the microfilm reader essential to any historical researcher.
