Wednesday at approximately 3 p.m., Deputy Beck with the Rains County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling on US 69 close to Alba following a white 4-door car for excessive speed. The suspect sped through Alba heading south towards Mineola driving in excess of 100 mph and higher at times, passing into oncoming traffic on the shoulder, according to the Rains County Sheriff’s Office.
