The 115-26 vote came after a 90-minute afternoon debate. Twenty-two Republicans joined Democrats in approving the first of two proposed amendments to the Constitution. The bill next heads to the Senate, where it is expected to pass and allow Connecticut voters to decide on Election Day, 2022, whether they want early voting options.
