“If a candidate is using campaign funds for any use, then it is quite possible that whoever is funding that campaign is actually funding that candidate’s lifestyle,” said Janet Boyd, director of voter services for The League of Women Voters in Virginia. “Then the undue influence becomes even greater than it would be already.”
