fiscal year which is not close to the $61 billion demanded by house republicans. so is reid just kind of posturing so if it comes to a government shutdown he can blame the other side, the gop? >> of course, i always enjoying dressing up for your show but i'm going over to kennedy center after this. i think that the democrats have made a significant offer. i don't think that speaker boehner wants to shut down the government. i think they'll find a way to work this out. big issue is going to be next year, brian's budget versus the president's. i do not expect the government to be shut down. neither side ultimately will take the blame and they'll figure this out. >> gregg: you hear what harry reid says, we have a deal. schumer says we have a deal and boehner says we don't have a deal. what is going on here? >> i don't know.
