Phoenix swoop to finish second in NBL Cup South East Melbourne Phoenix have stormed home to finish the NBL Cup competition in second spot following a 103-89 victory over the New Zealand Breakers. The Phoenix took out all four quarters at John Cain Arena on Sunday to claim a third win in the space of five days and rise above the Brisbane Bullets and Melbourne United, collecting $100,000 in prizemoney as runner-up to the Perth Wildcats.
