North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum has announced the appointment of Michael Williams of Jamestown to a term on the North Dakota State Board of Funeral Service from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2024.
The North Dakota State Board of Funeral Service consists of the North Dakota state health officer and three practicing funeral practitioners appointed by the governor. The board is the licensing and disciplinary agency for the profession, of which Williams serves as treasurer.
Williams owns and operates Williams Funeral Home in Jamestown and Edgeley, N.D., and Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown. He is a graduate of Gackle High School and San Francisco College of Mortuary Science.
