After worst season in years, Ohio State looks for a rise to prominence again in the Big Ten

The Ohio State basketball team had a season to forget last year. Although the Buckeyes got on a roll and beat three higher-seeded teams in the Big Ten Tournament, they went through a terrible stretch in January and February, losing 14 of 15 conference games. Ohio State finished 16-19 (5-15 Big Ten). It was the first season under .500 in 19 years and the first time the Buckeyes missed the NCAA Tournament in six years. Coach Chris Holtmann will rely on some of the young players from last year as well as returning senior forward Zed Key.
