WOOD RIVER — Four Madison County deaths were among the 81 COVID-19 related deaths reported Sunday by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The IDPH identified the deceased as a man in his 70s, a man in his 80s, a woman in her 90s and a man in his 90s. The IDPH also reported 4,711 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases. Late Saturday the Madison County Health Department reported four new COVID-19 related deaths — a man in his 70s, two men in their 80s and a man in his 90s — to bring the county’s virus death toll to 387. No deaths were reported Friday.
