The Board : approved COVID-19 related modifications to policies and guidelines for the District to ensure student and employee safety : updated requirements to the Americans with Disabilities Act to better accommodate students and staff : adopted a resolution to provide full abatement of all taxes due to be levied for the taxable General Obligation Community College Bonds, series 2020C, which were retired last fall and no longer needed : approved an affiliation agreement with Southern Illinois University at Carbondale to offer its Motorcycle Rider Training courses at all four IECC colleges in Olney, Fairfield, Mt. Carmel, and near Robinson : approved the purchase of a 15 passenger van for Frontier Community College from Eagleson Automotive in Olney : approved the bid from WindSolar USA for the design and installation of a solar project at Wabash Valley College : approved the student fees and cost structure for Dual Credit courses, plus a fee increase for the District’s Medical Assistant and Pharmacy Technician Lab programs : and made several moves dealing with personnel – approved the retirement from Dean of Workforce Education Michael Thomas – approved the resignation from Electrical Distribution Systems Instructor at Frontier Community College Gerry Kinney – approved the change of job status for Lori Noe from Coordinator of Financial Aid at FCC to Director of Instructional Support Services at Frontier Community College, for Erin Volk from Coordinator of Advisement at LTC to Director of Instructional Services at Lincoln Trail College, and for Rena Gower from Director of Academic Success Center at LTC to Director of Instructional Support Services at Lincoln Trail College – and approved the employment of David Kandelec as Maintenance/Custodian Staff at Olney Central College, Marbie Downen as Health Sciences Specialist for the Title III Program at Frontier Community College, and Kelly Mullins as Library Assistant at Lincoln Trail College : the next regular meeting for the IECC Board Trustees is February 16, 2021.
