Many Riverbend teachers watched the inauguration together with their students. Garrett Flowers, History Instructor for Marquette Catholic High School, said that his students were “surprisingly interested and well informed” in the inauguration. “I have quite a few students who strongly support the president-elect and are very informed on his stances on tax and environmental reforms,” Flowers said. “On the other hand, many students are strong supporters of President Trump, are conscious of many of the contentious events unfolding, and bring up many of his economic and political stances.”
