The giant chip manufacturer said that its new Optane-charged P5800X can do 1.5 million IOPS of random writes and reads. Intel also claims it can do up to 1.8 million in mixed workloads. The company used the power of PCIe 4.0 to create the fastest SSD for data centers. It also released a spec sheet stating that the new Optane P5800X can hit up to 7.2GB per second of sequential reads. Aside from this feature, the new chip is also capable of hitting up to 6.2GB per second of sequential writes.
