The Australian Federal Government has recently flagged a move to call time on the free-for-all from Australian proxy advisory firms. I know I speak on behalf of the majority of iSignthis Ltd (ASX:ISX) (FRA:TA8) shareholders when I welcome Treasurer Josh Frydenberg’s plans to regulate this self-declared ‘independent’ industry.
These much-needed rules are welcomed by companies such as iSignthis Ltd (ISX) because we have lived through the damage proxy advisers can cause to a company, its shareholders, staff and its investors.
