In his current capacity, he serves as a Professor of Medicine, Cell Biology, Radiology, Surgery and Public Health at the State University of New York- Downstate Health Sciences University and as Adjunct Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine (where he had previously served for 27 years as Gladys and Roland Harriman Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine).
