Winchester, Ky. — Taica Cubic Printing Kentucky LLC, an automotive supplier that specializes in decorating 3D objects, is investing $4.4 million in a project that includes injection molding capacity.
The company, a unit of Tokyo-based Taica Corp., will add 25,000 square feet to its Winchester plant and purchase five injection molding machines over two phases, according to a news release from Gov. Andy Beshear.
The added space will allow for in-house production of substrates currently purchased from other sources. The Winchester facility started production in 2013 and currently employs 44 people with an average wage of more than $26 per hour, according to the release.
