Were tracking those winds out of the north and northeast will gust anywhere from 35 to as high as 50 Miles Per Hour in our hills. And these winds this time of year we know this pattern, they drop humidity levels very low, and they drag in some very warm air, which does increase our fire danger. So its in effect in the north bay, the inland east bay and the east bay hills. Look at the winds right now in our hills. Already gusting to 40 atop mt. Diablo. We do expect these winds to strengthen in the Early Morning hours tomorrow. Future weather show you these wind gusts early tomorrow morning at 5 00 a. M. We do expect winds to strengthen especially in the north bay with frequent gusts over 30 Miles Per Hour. And we do expect these winds to continue even into monday as well. As these winds blow theyre going to drag in some hot air. Were tracking record heat. And well have those numbers in a few minutes. All right, drew, thank you. Pg e plans to begin Public Safety power shutoffs around midnight mainly in the sierra foothills and some north bay residents could lose their electricity tomorrow. The shutoffs will begin tomorrow around 4 00 in the utility will have ground crews and helicopters waiting for the all clear to be issued. Once we get that all clear we immediately begin to patrol and to restore our electric system. Pg e will open 28 Community Resource centers near the outage areas. That will allow people to Power Medical devices and recharge their electronic gadgets like cellphones. Well, ready or not the red flag fire danger is here. Berkeley police have spent the last several hours trying to learn about the shooting death of a man inside a home. Officers discovered the man inside a house on glenn avenue already 4 00 this afternoon. So far detectives have not shared any information or a suspect or a motive for the shooting. This is berkeleys fourth homicide of the year. Investigators are working to find out what sparked a fire that killed two people. That fire broke out inside a home on sarah place at about 1 45 this morning. Four people were inside. Two died while two others were rescued and are in the hospital with life threatening injuries. The Alameda County Sheriffs Office Corners Bureau has not released the names of the people who died, but the National Council on severe autism and Advocacy Group identified the victims as the Vice President and her son. Reporter twin peaks resident gary russ says the closure of the look out is to blame. Shattered glass can be seen all down the hill. Brazen thieves cant drive out to the parking area anymore so now theyre casing cars parked along the hill side and jumping right in. Weve never had this much theft. You can see were going to fluctuate between moderate and poor air quality to mark the worst air quality forecasted for the inland east bay and santa clara valley. A bit of smoke in our atmosphere with that moderate air quality continuing as we start the new week next week. Right now, though 70 in oakland right now, 67 in san jose, 75 in concord, San Francisco right now at 65 degrees. So overnight tonight we remain fogfree. So mainly clear skies and numbers overnight settling in the mid50s to mid60s first thing tomorrow morning. But overnight we have that red flag warning in effect. It doesnt encompass the entire north bay. It now includes the valleys as well. So novato, bodaga bay, napa, youre included in this now. The hills of the east bay and inland east bay as well. This lasting until 9 00 p. M. Monday evening for those northnortheasterly winds gusting over 35 Miles Per Hour heightening our fire danger. Future tracker wind gust. Well stop the clock. This is at 5 00 a. M. There you can see those offshore winds in the north bay especially gusting over 30 Miles Per Hour at times. We do expect the winds to kind of ebb and flow. Sunday afternoon we may see them weaken a bit, but we do expect another burst of those offshore winds, and again you see those offshore winds really focused in the north bay. The winds will finally calm down early in the afternoon on monday as that red flag warning begins to expire. However, its going to drag in some very hot temperatures, those offshore winds. A heat advisory will go into effect at 11 00 a. M. Tomorrow and pretty much encompasses the entire bay area. The only exception, the immediate coastline of san mateo and santa cruz county. Nonetheless we are expecting hot temperatures even along the coastline. Highs tomorrow, it is going to be a very warm day compared to today. Well hit 90 in oakland, about 93 in san jose. 100 the forecasted high in santa rosa, 99 concord and antioch and fairfield up to 100 degrees. It gets even warmer around here on monday.
