You dont have to be a sports fan to understand sometimes the score doesnt always matter. At a recent High School Football game, that was the case when two rival teams came together to make a boys wish come true. We have that memorable moment. You heard the egg bowl . No. The rivalry game. It almost didnt take place this year because of the smoke from the fire nearby. In the end, the game was played on schedule. Who won . Well, everyone. The High School Football team going into their last game of this season. Go. Did not have what the coach would call a good record. It was a tough year. It was a tough year for the wins and losses. But for that final game against their rival, the coach did have a play up his sleeve. He just knew would turn the losing record into a winning season. We ran flex 25 draw. He was the draw. He is is aiden, a 17yearold senior with cerebral palsy. Its a condition that makes it hard for aiden to speak. Here we go. Whethn it comes to football,e is easy to understand. Aidens dad says his son fell in love with the sport as a little boy when he would take him to high school games. Being a part of that team, his dad knew would mean the world to him. Prior to freshman year and during that summer, i called up coach and said, is there any way you can get aiden somehow involved in the team in any capacity . Coach said, absolutely. We would love to make him the water boy. He never regretted that decision for a moment. Didnt mriss one practice, nt one game, not one practice. He embodies everything you want your program to be. He is all about us instead of him. Which is great. At the end of the last game of his last season as water boy, coach wanted the moment to be about aiden. They suited him up, handed him the ball and watched him score. If you watch the video, he does a little hop after he scores his touchdown. For aiden to even express himself to that regard i think speaks volumes to how truly excited he was. Im not a cryer by nature. I broke down and cried. I was lucky to be that person to get to choose that. Theres millions of people that would make that decision if you knew aiden. A lot of tears. And on the set. One thing the coach wanted to emphasize to me was he was happy this was for aiden. He was just as happy for his dad. He watched the father son connect over football. Football has brought them together in a way nothing else has. To share that moment was so special. Wonderful for all those students, touching for all of them. Kudos to the other team for getting in on the action. You said it. Everyone won. Everyone won that game. Great story. Take you outside on this beautiful november evening. We have a system thats well offshore thats helping to do that. We have some fog at the coastline thats con ververging. We have ground pollution, smoke at the low he haer level. It creates calm conditions at the surface. It acts like a shoe and stomps all of that pollution right on down to the surface. Were not going to see it change until tomorrow. Eventually, we will get this area of High Pressure out of here and we will get you some better conditions. For tomorrow, we have the smoggy skies with us. The clouds to start. Probably wont need sunglasses on that morning commute. On the cool side, but not too cold. 51 in the south bay. Peninsula 53. East bay, 52. San francisco 54. North bay, 49. Right here across the north bay, 74 in sonoma. The change that were talking about, we mentioned High Pressure. That is going to be moving off towards the east once we hit thursday. This is going to set up a cooler flow moving in. Thats going to drop our temperatures. Its also going to start to mix up the air and i think at least right now, back to good air quality right at the coastline. My extended forecast has numbers dropping by thursday to 57. 59 on friday. Warming back up sunday and on monday. The change will be more noticeable for the inland valleys. Check it out. 67 on thursday. 69 on friday. Feeling like fall. Once we hit next week, we are looking at the chance of that pattern changing and a system offshore by next wednesday. Were not totally sold on any kind of bigtime rainfall for us. The possibility of spotty showers is there wednesday and thursday. Everything is fuzzy on this. We will know more, of course, as we head through this weekend. At least its somewhat promising. Yes.
