Are mourning the loss of 2 year old camila cardoza. And 4 year old lenexy cardoza. Both died in a pickup truck their mom was driving. The mom, edith, survived. But we now also know that the suepect. Noe saucedo and the victims. Are distant cousins. Saucedo looked down for much of his Court Appearance in martinez. Authorties say saucedo stole a truck and was evading a deputy when he ran a red light and plowed into the cardozas last week. Following the brief hearing, the cardoza family clung to each other and exited the courthhouse quickly their pain visible on their faces the suspects partner, with whom he has a young daughter. Is distraught. K sanchez, saucedos partner. I seen him that morning, i saw his black pants, but my main concern is those two little girls, i am a mother, i cant imagine. grant bail has been set at more than 2 million dollars. Saucedo did not enter a plea, he is set to be back in court next monday to do so. And in the meantime, the famlies is trying to raise money for a joint funeral. Last friday afternoon the victim was at an Electronics Store on san bruno avenue and silliman street. Thats where Police Say One suspects came in and snatched the victims laptop. The 49 year old victim chased the thief. Who got into a waiting car. Driven by a second suspect. The car then hit the victim as it sped off. Toward a nearby southbound highway 101 onramp. Leaving him with life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made. steve the standoff between police and a man wanted for felony warrants continues at a san jose hotel. The standoff began around three pm yesterday when authorities located the wanted man. Authorities say thats when the man barricaded himself into his room. Refusing to leave. San jose police and the sheriffs swat team have evacuated the wing of the hotel where the man is holding up. That includes a restaurant and adjacent parking lots. The situation has some hotel guests on edge. Guests on edge. Its sort of spooky and scary, i always stay here when i come to town and never stop to think that Something Like this could think there is enough security at motels like this. One guest told kron4 an employee told him that there was somebody else in theroom with the suspect. Possibly being held as a Hostage Police would not confirm any part of that story. Authorities say they have been in contact with the suspect. Trying to negotiate a peaceful surrender. It is still unclear if the suspect is armed. pam starting today, you can apply for a New California drivers license or id card. Which complies with federal standards. Spencer whats the process for getting these real ids . Its a lot like the way youve always gotten your license or id card. But the real ids require more documentation. But it might be worth your while to come into an office to get your new, federally compliant id within the next twoandahalf years. A real id driver license or id card or other federallyaccepted document will be required to board a domestic flight, enter a military base and secure federal facilities starting on october 1, 2020. Simply put, the New California id you can now appply for. Will finally meet the stricter id standards of the federal government. That means theres going to be more paperwork you have to bring in. Proff of id would be Something Like a birth certificate. Proof of Social Security number can be a Social Security card or a w2 with the number on it. And Something Like a utility bill can prove your california residency. If you forget all this, theres an interactive checklist on the dmvs website. And that allows customers to choose the documents that they have, print out the list, and bring that along with them. If youve ever legally changed your name, youll also need Something Like a marriage certificate to show why it doesnt match your birth certificate. Folks at the concord dmv heard bits and pieces about the new cards. There was gonna be some changes in regards to whats behind the emblems that appear on the license. Shes right. You can still choose anot to get the real id, and it wont affect your legal ability to drive. But the federal limits apply emblem means tsa wont accept your id as valid after that 2020 deadline. You have almost three years to get these new cards. Unlike your typical license renewals, you amust come in to the dmv in person to apply. The victim told officers, a suspect started choking the her unprovoked. The attack was caught on camera. It happened on the morning of january 14th in the citys fillmore district. The victim says, a man had bought something at the store. Then returned about 20 minutes later, and attacked her. Police identified the suspect as brian holste. Witness say, they saw holste on the floor. With the woman in a choke hold. The two Good Samaritans intervened and managed to free the victim. Holste was arrested on aggravated assault and burglary charges.
