Morning robin good morning, good morning everybody and nice you of San Francisco you see in the background there with the alcatraz in the foreground off to a pretty good start now noting some of this fog we have a its going to disappear in the next couple of hours. So well be off to mostly sunny skies. Repeat that again for your wednesday morning. Maybe even a little bit weaker, it looks like to carrying a cell to thursday morning repeat that as well but it looks pretty weak. So we have High Pressure building for the rest the week. And we dont really feel the brunt of it probably until the weekend thats when the heat by comes our way most readings into the 50s across the board 48 61 for 57 going on for concord livermore comes in a 5456 meanwhile for san jose also the winds currently now theyre Holding Together a little bit up in the north bay but actually not much of a factor until late this afternoon and this evening, a little bit of an uptick complements of some inland heating lighting things up for you today, were at 61, it looks like by 09 00am by high noon at 77. Well happening now firefighters in the south bay still working really hard this morning to get the upper hand on the crews fire. Thats burning mill near gilroy that fire has more than tripled in size in just the last 24 hours. We want to go live now to kron fours will tran hes in gilroy this morning. He has the latest on the firefight will. Its tripled in size unfortunately, the containment percentage did not triple. Its still on the hillside right now along the ridge and thats the good news, its talked back there which is why you dont see the flames but you might be able to see the smoke along the ridge lane it is slowly and steadily, however moving along. Yesterday i was along kenyada road which by the way is still closed this morning because of evacuations, its about 3 miles from my location that moved here to prove dale avenue which is in danger of obviously being on fire as well and evacuations along here. Let me show you some video marty so yesterday i was here it was only 15 contained at that time right now its 20 contained. Its around 5400 acres burned yesterday it was at 1500 acres, so its more than tripled in size it continues to move along. But the good news is still no fatalities, no injuries that we do know that 2 structures have been destroyed but those structures were not houses the difficulty with the fire because its such a dry area it whips around and gusty conditions every now and then but more importantly mardi in robin. The fact is isnt such a rugged area that they cant drive their rigs there to plug into fire hydrants so they have crews on the ground with their picks and shovels to clear a lot of the dry debris. But they are using air tackett mostly and those air tankers should be back up in the air in about 90 minutes or so maybe a little bit later once the sun comes up, but the fear factor is this they want to make sure that the fire stays along the ridge line along the hills of gil right because this is their fear. This is one 52 marty one 52 is such a major thoroughfare that they keep a close eye on if they dont want any damage to this road or its skipping over here and moving southbound. Towards hollister or other parts of gilroy so far so good you can see how busy one 52 is. As long as the fight is on the hillside, theyll take it. We should get an update in about 2 hours from now as far as the numbers, but again it did triple in size unfortunately, the containment percentage did not report just instill long now only at 20 could take several more days to get containment. Marty. All right well quick question is there any threat of closure of highway, one 52. Not at this time it is free and clear kenyada still close theyre still worried about it moving along again it looks like most of the fight marty is right there. They are taking advantage of the low. Windy conditions as you said is not really windy at this time and thats great because if the wind speak up, especially this area being so dry the vegetation just just ready to just catch on fire that that they dont want that to happen so right now one 52 is all good to go that is the fear factor because obviously people travel on it and lets face it marty commerce especially whats happened with the economy. Lets keep things moving one 52 is definitely a priority for them, yeah, definitely is a very busy highway will tran reporting live for us from gilroy robin.
