Dave and heres a live shot coming in as a foe, we have a fog and some stratus clouds here and there are no delays being reported this morning a look at our temperatures now were in the 60s and 50s over most of the real estate bugs and take a lot of clear on the east bay shoreline going to cost us temperature wise just a touch. Were still kind of in the moderate category holding in in the fog is greeting us this morning live shot coming in from a timber on and its not covering everywhere like summer and were not getting a lot but to get down the city. Thats where it has kind of encroached and also cellphone no delays happening with this. Theres a live shot of the the airport you can see 60s and 50s on the board for right now weve got the midfifties up to the north bay 62 antioch 61 conquered, 65 for hayward and 60 going on San Francisco for futurecast for we dis to see that fog kind of mix out we go into a mostly sunny modal bow going to be a little slow along the east bay shoreline just a touch, it looks like a little bit this is what it looks like by tomorrow morning, less intrusion of that morning fog and that should clear out a little quicker. Tomorrow and youll that sunshine for these affected areas probably earlier in the day that were going to see for today on balance doesnt do a whole lot to our temperatures but they will be somewhat contained as we look for much of the week ahead. Heres what the game plan is morning fog around the coast and the east bay shoreline but mild temps with highs in the 70s and 80s then for tomorrow, well put that into a quicker morning Clearing Program a touch warmer too well be maybe a couple 90s poking out here and there but this is to one day pop. And then temperatures retreat just a little bit back to the mild column, sunny and mild with all of that 80s cover it was some minor cooling happening by the time we get to next weekend and hopefully maybe scrounge up a couple showers by the time we get there highs today, 71 San Francisco 77 for oakland, san jose at about 80 fair to warm as what were looking at one of the most of that theres some 80s in the far east bay you will notice up in the north bay, some 80s as well looking at upper 70s lining up the east bay shoreline again popping temperatures a little bit temporarily tomorrow before we get again moderation for much of the week ahead marty all right dave thanks a lot. Well as the wildfires continue to burn here in california all of that smoke is becoming a bigger problem and could have some Serious Health consequences. Kron 4 Sanaz Tahernia takes a look at the dangers of exposure and who is most at risk. Wildfire smoke is a growing component of air pollution and as weve seen over the last month its become a major component in the air quality here in the western United States 10 to 20 years ago about 5 to 10 of the particulate matter in the air nationwide was from wildfire smoke. In recent years the numbers increased to 25 . And when you look at the western part of the United States it can be 50 or more so question many of us are asking is how much should we be worrying about the short and longterm effects of the wildfire smoke that weve been seen. Experts say that while any amount of wildfire smoke inhalation is unhealthy for all age groups is particularly dangerous for pregnant women infants and children. You see weaker immune systems and higher rates of asthma in infants that are exposed to wildfire smoke studies show that even 5 days of wildfire exposure for an infant increases the rate of asthma by about 2 fold. It can even impact a babys health in the loan. There are high rates of prematurity and a decreased for 3. Even after just a week of wildfire exposure. There are certain 10th of the population and we dont know. To that degree by which theyre more sensitive than others but i would definitely say. Pregnant please be super careful. We dont know all the data but we do know that its dangerous to be outside please wear a mask when youre outside we really need to understand more about whats happening to pregnant moms and brought them to an all ages, but i would say to be super careful around those population studies are still being done at Stanford University to fully determine the Health Impacts of smoke exposure. Especially with regard to chronic versus acute exposure to pollution. Doctor nadeau says that the same changes in the immune systems of people chronically exposed to a low level pollution. Were very similar to those acutely exposed. She went on to say that the acute exposure could include irreversible effects. So you cant assume that you wont suffer serious consequences simply because air pollution may be bad for a few days here or there. Sue moss turn your reporting kron 4 news.
