Letter: Support Schools Foundation I am writing this letter in support of the Davis Schools Foundation fundraising efforts. On May 6, the Davis Schools Foundation will be participating in the greater Sacramento community’s Big Day of Giving to support local nonprofits. It has been a trying year for everyone, but as a board member of DSF, I know that DSF’s annual grants to the Davis schools are more important than ever, especially in our funding priority areas of mental health and counseling services, equitable opportunity and access, and support of our educators. My husband and I have continued to support the Davis public schools where our children received their educations, and we believe that the schools are one of things that make Davis the wonderful place it is. Donating to the schools via sources such as DSF is crucial to help support the well-being of the children and by extension the city.
