Last December, the 38-year-old pleaded guilty in Miami federal court to illegally possessing a loaded gold-plated handgun. It was discovered when his private plane landed at Opa Locka Executive Airport. Lil Wayne faced up to ten-years in prison for the crime, but just before leaving office, Trump granted him a full pardon. The White House said, his pardon had been championed by Brett Berish, CEO of wine and spirits company Sovereign Brands, who described Lil Wayne as "trustworthy, kind-hearted and generous."
