Medic highlights top team members in innovative ambulance program for National Nurses Week VALLEJO — A pair of nurses in a program pioneered almost a decade ago by Medic Ambulance Service are their respective county’s top performers and are being singled out for recognition during National Nurses Week. Medic’s Advanced Life Support Registered Nurse Program was started in May 2012 to address an overuse of critical care transportation of hospital patients who were not critical care patients. The program continues to reap benefits not only for the region’s nursing community, but for people in need across much of Solano County and the greater Sacramento area.
