File photo courtesy of the AIT Taipei, April 2 (CNA) Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Friday declined to confirm media reports that Sandra Oudkirk, United States deputy assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, is likely to assume the post of Washington's top envoy in Taiwan this summer. Local media reports said earlier the same day that Oudkirk will take over as director of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), replacing Brent Christensen, who began his tour of duty in August 2018.
