There was another major announcement for Rosslare Europort last week as ferry operator Stena Line announced its intention to double its frequency and capacity on its route to Cherbourg with the addition of a new freight-only vessel which will operate out of the Europort from January 4. Stena Line's announcement came less than two weeks after Danish shipping giants DFDS confirmed they would be running six sailings per week from Rosslare to Dunkirk in the new year, as ferry companies scramble to keep up with the demand for increased access to mainland Europe as hauliers seek to avoid what could be lengthy delays on the UK landbridge post-Brexit.
