Morse: NH's 'divisive concepts' bill designed to hide and deny racism

James C. Morse Sr.
HB 544, the so-called "divisive concepts" bill, looks to solve a problem in New Hampshire that does not exist. I listened to hours of testimony in which critical race theory was discussed as the foundation for the rationale for this bill. When the "experts" were asked where in New Hampshire CRT is practiced, they had no examples, no public schools, no public institutions, nothing. Yet, this bill is designed to stop CRT by curtailing freedom of speech, freedom of expression and academic freedom in New Hampshire.  This bill is opposed by NH Business for Social Responsibility, the NH ACLU, and many others.
