Mark Ruffin Jr., 22, faces up to 20-years in state prison if convicted of Attempted Murder subject to the provisions of the "No Early Release Act" which means he has to serve 85 percent of the sentence imposed before becoming eligible for release on parole. Ruffin Jr. would also be under parole supervision for five years following his release from state prison. In addition to first degree Attempted Murder, Ruffin Jr. is also charged with second degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and second degree unlawful possession of weapon.
