Cr Scott Bannan and Jeff McConnell (Scenic Rim) discuss the new bridge A one-lane timber bridge on the boundary of the City of Logan and the Scenic Rim is set to make way for a higher more flood-resistant structure. Teese Bridge, at Veresdale Scrub, will be replaced with a two-lane concrete crossing that will provide a more reliable connection for motorists. The Australian Government has committed $700,000 under the Bridges Renewal Program to this $1.7 million project, with the remainder jointly funded by the Logan City Council and Scenic Rim Regional Council. The works will be carried out by contractor McIlwain Civil Engineering and anticipated to take about five months.
