Community Submitted “Words in Action: Storytelling, Social Justice and Queer Culture” will be hosted online by New College of Florida March 17-19. The inaugural festival rethinks the role of the arts in society by featuring the teaching, production and circulation of writing as a whole social process within the larger context of work and social activism. Featuring post-punk performance poet and activist Michelle Tea and Cuban-American artist, writer, activist and musician Cristy Roads, the three-day event includes these offerings (all are free and open to the public unless noted otherwise): Storytelling, Social Justice and the Tarot, March 17 at 5 p.m.
