The Supreme Court will hear the pleas of NewsClick founder Prabir Purkayastha and its HR head Amit Chakravarty on October 19. The two individuals were arrested under the anti-terror law UAPA, and their pleas for relief were dismissed by the Delhi High Court. The Supreme Court agreed to urgently list the matter after their senior advocates mentioned it before the bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud.
