Jessie Frees got her first radio gig in 1951 as a New Jersey schoolgirl on a New York Times-owned station. Seventy years later, the first lady of New Jersey's broadcast airwaves is still behind the microphone at age 88 and has no plans to sign off any time soon. "I'll never give it up," said Frees, currently in her 27th year hosting the "Ask the Expert" hour every Sunday morning on WMTR-AM radio in Hanover, followed by the "Your New Jersey Connection" political panel talk show hosted by her daughter, Julie Briggs. Her list of A-list interview guests is endless: from Bob Hope and Helen Hayes to Tony Bennett, Tony Randall and Liberace.
