TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State cross country teams will be hosting the FSU Winter Last Chance Meet on Friday morning at the Apalachee Regional Park. The meet is the final chance for any team to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Okla., on March 15. Behind the third place finish at the ACC Championships back in October, the No. 18 FSU women’s team will sit out its top runners and await their NCAA bid, while the men’s team will put forth its best effort in order to qualify for nationals. “We’re very excited to host a high-level cross country meet in March,” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “This is why the course was built and we’ve got the best place to be in the country this weekend. Neither meet is that big, but our men will be running in a very good meet alongside Michigan and Syracuse. If we can’t pull off the upset for the win, they we have to look good and be close behind.”
