Monday, July 12, 2021 - 5:17 pm OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg Police Chief Robert Wescott will retire from the city police force at the end of the month. “The City of Ogdensburg respectfully announces the well earned retirement of Police Chief Robert Wescott. Chief Wescott served the Ogdensburg Police Department in every rank and capacity for over 25 years since beginning his career in 1996.,” City Manager Stephen Jellie said. Wescott is a graduate of Lisbon High School, SUNY Canton and a member of the first graduating class of the David Sullivan St. Lawrence County Law Enforcement Academy. Chief Wescott resides in Ogdensburg with his companion of 11 years, Andrea and their 5 children.
