The Ministry stated, as part of the celebration of the World Telecommunications Day, that despite the blockade enforced by the United States, Cuba has 6.6 millions mobile telephone users and is expanding the coverage of the fourth-generation network (4G). The report pointed out that 76 percent of Cubans have digital TV signal coverage and nearly 4.2 millions have access to the Internet via mobile data, including 1.3 million users of 4G.
