Paula Settle prevails in Humble City Council Election Written by Tom Broad Published: 19 December 2020 One vote now separates the two candidates competing for Place 4 in the Humble City Council runoff election which was held on December 13. Paula Settle prevailed in the election by one vote over challenger Arliss Bentley, with all 63 voting centers reporting. The official count, canvassed at Humble City Hall on Saturday morning, December 19 with the Humble City Council in attendance, was Paula Settle 301 votes (50.08 percent) and Arliss Bentley, 300 votes (49.92 percent). The Harris County Election Administrator’s Office counted any additional military overseas, provisional and mail ballots that were received by 7 pm on election night, then delivered the certified results on Friday evening to Humble City Secretary Jenny Page.
