PLAINWELL, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The worldâs largest meatpacking company, which has a local plant, was hit by a Cyber attack similar to one that shut down the Colonial Pipeline last month. JBS shuttered its slaughter houses in Australia Monday and in the U.S. Tuesday as a result of a ransomware demand. The White House says they believe the hack originated in Russia. The impact on the local JBS beef processing plant in Allegan was not released yesterday, but a report from WWMT Wednesday confirmed that the Plainwell location was affected.
