Poll over police violence can be traced to media narrative Monday, May 24, 2021 | Steve Jordahl (OneNewsNow.com) Spanish Almost half of Americans in a national poll agree police violence is a serious problem in America, but that opinion is statistically not true and a law enforcement veteran says the media is behind the skewed numbers. According to an AP/NORC poll, 45% of Americans called police violence an "extremely" or "very serious" problem. In the same survey, 56% said police are more likely to use deadly force against a black person than a white person. The poll surveyed 1,842 adults in a sampling that used a higher rate of black respondents because of the topic, the AP said.
