Theatre North West audiences have been treated to some truly spectacular sets over the years. The creative genius behind many of them is set designer and builder Hans Saefkow. He’s also the artist whose charming colour illustrations appear on TNW’s promotional posters. Now Saefkow has channeled his artistic flair to the pages of a new children’s book titled King of Rome. The beautiful hard-cover book with words by Dave Sudbury and original pencil and crayon illustrations by Saefkow is based on a folk song about a a pigeon race from Rome to England. The book is being launched in North America and Great Britain.
