Qualifying set for special Locust Grove City Council electio

LOCUST GROVE — Qualifying for a special election to fill a vacant Locust Grove City Council seat will begin this month at City Hall.
The City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 19 hold a special election to fill the unexpired term of John R. Gardner, who moved out of the city last fall. Gardner’s term would have expired Dec. 31, 2021.
The election will take place on March 16. Qualifying dates and times are Feb. 15 — Feb. 17, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The qualifying fee is $252.
