Rammstein Have Recorded a New Album in Lockdown "We had more time to think of new things and less distraction," says keyboardist Flake Lorenz Published Mar 01, 2021 Last year, just as fans were getting stoked for Rammstein's massive North American stadium tour, the band were forced to postpone on account of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While those dates have since been rescheduled for this summer, the band have been keeping busy recording new material at La Fabrique studio in France — and now, they've revealed that the downtime has helped them to complete an entire record in lockdown. Speaking in German with Motor.de, keyboardist Flake Lorenz explained, "The fact that we couldn't perform live increased our creativity. We had more time to think of new things and less distraction. As a result, we recorded a record that we hadn't planned on."
