Good morning! Today marks China's sixth National Security Education Day. This is the first such event to be staged in the special administrative region (SAR) since the promulgation of the National Security Law for Hong Kong. It also marks the first time for the Committee for Safeguarding National Security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to organize National Security Education Day activities. This event represents a significant effort made by the SAR to fulfil its constitutional obligation of safeguarding national security, which will inevitably serve as an example for the whole of society to follow. On behalf of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, I wish the event every success.
