There is simply too much of it. So the events of any given 24 hours are swept aside or buried under the events of the next day, and the next, and so on. Better to let bygones be bygones. Except…when it’s not. Politicians like Arizona’s Republican Reps. Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar would very much like us to forget about the insurrection of Jan. 6 and the events leading up to it, particularly the way the discord was manufactured by lies about the election and wild conspiracy theories pushed by politicians more loyal to Donald Trump than to their country or their oath of office.
