When Nodak Mutual Insurance was formed in 1946, it primarily focused on providing liability coverage for farmers' cars, trucks and farms. / Special to The Forum.
It all started in 1946 when 100 North Dakota Farm Bureau members each chipped in $500 to form a small insurance company for farmers and ranchers across the state.
